As a market leader in IFA and Intermediary jobs, Financial Times Business (FTB) realised the need to enhance the functionality and usability of ftadviser.com. The job section needed to be improved in order to maintain and strengthen its position in the market.

Financial Times Business wanted to offer both users and advertisers a greater level of service, which would gain even more loyalty and increase business gains. The website attracts a range of highly skilled candidates and high quality recruiters and needed to provide users with a better offering. One which would allow candidates to quickly find the most suitable jobs and clients to therefore attract the best candidates as well as providing a wider product offering in line with other recruitment sites.

It was also essential to increase traffic to the job site and to the FT as a whole and substantially increase online revenues for recruitment advertising.

HotLizard were selected from various other contenders as the Financial Times Business' web design partners redominantly because of their experience and knowledge of the online recruitment market, as well as their ability to deliver a completely bespoke solution. Successfully delivering online expertise to the recruitment sector since 1999 and with over 400 clients in the UK, their knowledge of the job board/online recruitment market is second to none.

Working in partnership with HotLizard, the Financial Times Business knew they could expect a best in breed site as well as an ongoing partnership to ensure continued success. And, as one of the best known newspaper publications in the UK, they placed great importance on the bespoke design and development process they would get from HotLizard, and the fact that the site would be entirely their own intellectual property.

The new Job Board provides extensive functionality for job seekers and employers alike within the IFA and intermediary markets. As well as offering a wealth of intuitive functionality for job seekers, the site also provides advanced reporting for advertisers and flexibly deployed advertising packages with online payment capabilities. Featured jobs, advanced job searching, employer micro sites and jobs-by-email are just some of the features on offer to users, but the site also offers advertisers a sophisticated online payment system using credits, whereby advertisers are alerted if their credits are running out and if their vacancies are expiring.

The job board is a great example of HotLizard's ability to deliver a completely bespoke solution to a major player in the online media market, and a testament to the faith put in HotLizard by such an influential organisation.
