HotLizard has developed a dedicated on-line recruitment service for Private Healthcareers, privatehealthcareers.co.uk , targeting the Independent Healthcare Sector. Similar to NHS Jobs, it has launched a single portal recruitment service for Private Healthcare employers, which allows candidates to view job adverts and apply for positions on one website.

Forty-six Private Healthcare organisations have already started to advertise jobs on-line. The service will be rolled out nationally in the Private health sector from September 2010.

Unlike other sectors, the private sector has not seen an explosion of activity in the job board market. Recruitment is still largely done through agencies, which are increasingly regarded as disproportionately expensive. This has created an opportunity for a comprehensive, feature rich, recruitment job board with annual subscription fees at a fraction of the traditional cost.

Melinda Moolman, site founder and industry expert, says the challenge is that the private sector still has a reputation in the market as being less favourable than the NHS in terms of employment, training and conditions. Consequently, privatehealthcareers.co.uk will act as both recruitment portal and as importantly, an active promoter of careers in the private sector.

NHS Jobs has saved the NHS over £240 million since it was launched in 2003. The biggest savings have been made through reductions in recruitment fees and advertising spend as trusts have reduced their reliance on traditional advertising channels. Administration costs also decreased as the use of online applications has grown.

We have now developed the same dedicated online recruitment service for the Independent Healthcare Sector.

The service provides job seekers with access to vacancies across the Private sector through a single portal, and provides employers with the tools and features they need to manage their recruitment processes. We also share vacancy information directly with Jobcentre Plus, helping the Private Sector to support employment in their local communities.
